The clock ticks on
gddik
And in so doing, brings me to only 8 more working days, before I hang up my mouse (in a professional way).
That notwithstanding, my days are already being booked up, and with the skydive on the horizon, I now have a 4-day holiday in Copenhagen with Gddik Jr. to look forward to. This will be the first time that I’ve been away for any length of time with him, just by ourselves. It may be the last too, if he is successful in his current job applications, which would take him to London to work, and on into his independent adult life. So, I’ll make the most of this special trip in June.
Also got a one-night trip over to Dublin with S. in mid-June to see the legendary Ry Cooder, which I’m really looking forward to. It would have been longer, but Dublin is ridiculously expensive. The best deal we could get on a hotel in the city was £71, and that doesn’t even include breakfast. I like Dublin, but I don’t like it THAT much.
I have some alterations planned for the house - a mini-project that will keep me busy for a while, too, so I won’t be too bored in the first few months anyway. I intend to improve my physical fitness, too, and to develop my own small business that’s been ticking over for a couple of years. I suppose things will level out of their own accord, and I’ll slip into a routine that works.
I’m sure I’ll find out - when the clock has ticked a bit more.
