Turkish delight

I work pretty hard on developing and maintaining my community’s web site. It’s something of a labour of love, I suppose, and rightly or wrongly, I’m very proud of it. I think it’s not bad, of its type, and it’s my way og giving something back to the community that I love.
You’ll appreciate, then, my anger when I discovered this morning that it had been hacked and defaced by a bunch of wasters calling themselves the Turkish Hackers. Fortunately, they weren’t as good at their “job” as I think I am at mine, as it took all of, ooh, 5 minutes to undo what they’d done.
I try not to be judgemental (mental, possibly) and whether these tossers are actually from/in Turkey or Tooting matters not a jot to me. It just pisses me off to the point of near apoplexy that there are people in the world who think that this kind of thing is worth doing.
Whether its defacing web sites, or smashing bus shelters, or daubing graffiti on walls, it’s all the same, and it’s despicable. What goes on in their tiny minds is a mystery to me. They’re only heroes to themselves and their mates. Their positive contribution to the world amounts to zero, and their negative one immense.
A pox on these losers’ houses, I say.
