We’re all TV stars
gddik
It is popularly alleged that we all appear on surveillance cameras about 300 times every day, on average.
Even if we only flit across the screen for one second at a time (and I certainly don’t move that fast) then we each make a minimum of 5 minutes’ worth of footage a day. That’s 35 minutes a week - slightly more than a whole episode of Emmerdale, or Corrie (and probably more entertaining, too) - for free. We’re being ripped off. Wossie and Wogan get paid millions every year for their efforts - we get nothing at best and prosecuted at worst.
I think such commitment to reality TV (in its purest form) deserves some sort of recognition. So, next time there’s an award show coming up, I fully expect to be nominated for a gong of some kind. Mind you, it’ll take some time to read out the list of nominees. The categories might be interesting, though - Best-Endowed Flasher, Craftiest Shoplifter, Most Insulting Gesture To Speed Cameras…
Better start work on my acceptance speech.
